Founded in Israel in 2004, Rocoto develops products specialized in wireless video transmission technology using HDMI / SDI interfaces, while leading the WHDI (Wireless Home Digital Interface) Consortium. Leveraging its zero-latency wireless transmission technology for high-resolution video, Rocoto operates as a fabless company and develops and sells products ranging from devices and software to complete finished products.
2012: AMIMON technology was adopted as a core technology in Teradek products, expanding sales channels into professional video equipment.
2018: Vitec Group acquired AMIMON (former company name) and integrated it into Creative Solutions, further strengthening the development structure.
2021: Received the Academy Scientific & Engineering Award at the Oscars®.
2023: Began product deployment for the medical market as Teradek Medical.
2025: AMIMON and Teradek Medical were integrated and the company name was changed to “Rocoto,” focusing on medical and industrial equipment.

Product Overview: MDxx Series Wireless Transmission Devices for Medical Applications, Supporting 4K/3D
Rocoto’s MD series enables wireless operation in medical environments, improving seamlessness, safety, and quality.
4K/3D video signals that previously required long HDMI or 12G-SDI cable routing for display on monitors or connection to recording equipment can now be transmitted wirelessly with latency of less than 1/1000 second. The system also supports multicast transmission to up to four receivers simultaneously.
The MD series is not limited to specific connected devices. If the connected equipment has an HDMI or SDI interface, wireless operation can be achieved.
(*1) The input video signal is passed through the device and output.
(*2) Although it depends on obstacles and the operating environment, performance of up to approximately 30m is possible.
(*3) Includes DFS and non-DFS bands.
- Communication is also possible between MD62 and MD11.
- Supports multicast connection from one transmitter to up to four receivers.
- Up to six pairs can be used in the same space.
* Specifications of this product may change without notice for quality improvement. Please check the user manual issued by Rocoto before use.
* Depending on the connected devices and operating environment, the stated product performance may not be fully achieved. Evaluation before use is recommended.
* This product is not a medical device and is not designed for specific applications requiring extremely high safety, such as military use, nuclear power control systems, or life-support systems.
Product Overview: Connex Wireless Video Transmission Devices
Connex is a 5GHz wireless video transmission device equipped with Rocoto’s proprietary chipset and software. All Connex series products have obtained Japanese Radio Law certification (construction design certification). The Connex Industrial series also complies with the unmanned mobile image transmission system*, making it suitable for installation on drones and small helicopters.
Boards used in the Connex series are also available for sale. Please contact our sales team for details.

Zero Latency:
Less than 1 ms. This refers to the delay between wireless transmission and reception.
Unmanned Mobile Image Transmission System:
Established in August 2016 as a radio system for general business use, drones, and similar applications.
To enable long-distance transmission of high-quality video over a main link, the 5.7GHz band was newly added to the 169MHz and 2.4GHz bands.
Transmission output is specified as 10mW for the 169MHz band, up to 1W for the 2.4GHz band, and up to 1W for the 5.7GHz band. These systems are classified as “portable station / land mobile station.”
